Signs that mean you may be gluten intolerant

It is estimated that around 7% of the total population suffers from some sort of gluten allergy. It is also estimated that a massive 99% of those who suffer are never diagnosed.

Most people go without being diagnosed because they don't recognised the warning signs or symptoms associated with gluten intolerance or coeliac disease.

So what are the signs you should be looking out for?

The most common is digestive issues such as gas, bloating, constipation or diarrhoea when eating wheat or gluten products.

There is also a common feeling of fatigue or excessive tiredness after eating something that contains gluten.

People who suffer with gluten intolerance or celiac disease may also experience dizziness, light headedness or migraines from time to time if they are not removing gluten from their diets.

The best way to test for a gluten intolerance...

The most common way to test if you have an allergy or intolerance is to trial an elimination diet, where you eliminate 100% of the gluten from what you eat. After a few weeks try introducing it again, and if you notice a difference or feel worse once you introduce gluten again then you might have an allergy or intolerance.
